Settlement No1 (Arraial d´Ajuda, Bahia)
I have many, many more photos showing the expanse of the city I created today (these do not do it justice) but the computer I am on is very slow so I will have to have another go later... As the tide came I photographed the city gradually getting washed away, I am going to make an stop frame animation of this (I wish I had my computer now). I felt quiet and contemplative watching my hard work melt into the sea- its not a negative experience- its a continuation; its the logical next step of the momentary monument.
I have decided that the next stage of my site specific ´Collosal Wrecks´ is to find islands and inlets which can accomodate my cities.
